Imation Secure Scan

Protect the health of your LTO library.

Assessing the health of your LTO library needs can be an ongoing effort. When you have that much data on the line, waiting until a drive shows signs of failure just isn't an option. That's where the Imation Secure Scan can help.

With Imation Secure Scan, you can proactively assess the health of your entire LTO library: searching for potential errors before they cause data loss. And if you discover a possible error, Imation Secure Scan will determine the root cause, drive or media, so you can replace only the equipment necessary - a huge cost savings compared to the old method of discarding the entire lot.

Imation Secure Scan works a patent-pending algorithm that reduces the risk of false negatives or positives. And, it's the only scanning product that includes a locking mechanism: so you can rest assured on-site and in-transit knowing your media cannot be accessed by any LTO drive.

An integral barcode reader developed for the Imation Secure Scan device enables cartridge scans in or out of poly storage cases, providing immediate feedback on the viability of individual cartridges. The software enables you to monitor media subsets or entire libraries with easy-to-use statistical graphics and reports. The innovative "phone-home" feature allows you to submit scan information directly to Imation for a more in-depth analysis and comparison against industry trends.

It's a complete solution for assessing your LTO library - providing the security and cost savings your business requires.
